William D. Adrion, Psy.D.

William D. Adrion, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist licensed in Ohio and Florida and is the founder and director of Center for Psychology which was established in 1989.

He received his doctorate from the School of Professional Psychology at the Florida Institute of Technology in 1984. Since that time, Dr. Adrion has been in private practice where he specializes in stress management, compulsive disorders, trauma victims, substance abuse and anxiety disorders. His primary modality in treating these disorders involves the use of mind-body strategies as a basic framework for facilitating the healing process.

Formerly the chief of staff of Waterfront Center for Psychology, Dr. Adrion has functioned as a wellness consultant for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida. He has served on the board of the Ohio Psychological Association as chair of the Insurance Committee and member of the Ethics Committee.

Tricia Lerdon, LISW-S, LICDC

Tricia Lerdon is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisor Designation as well as a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor who graduated with her Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University in 1994.

She obtained her State of Ohio advanced license in 1996 which enables her to independently assess, diagnosis, and treat in her practice. Prior to joining the Center for Psychology, Tricia worked in a wide array of clinical arenas serving a very diverse group of clients.

Tricia’s experience is extensive having worked with adults and children with mild to severe needs ranging from adjustment issues to crisis and trauma. Her approach to practice is eclectic, with a basic foundation of practice drawing from a mind-body orientation.

Abby Surbella, M.Ed., LPC

Abby Surbella is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who graduated from Kent State University (KSU) earning a Master of Education degree in Community Counseling in 2007.

She received extensive training in diagnosis and assessment, treatment planning, clinical experience in individual and group therapy, as well as ethical and cultural considerations in counseling. It was a privilege for her to be a student in the KSU Counseling Education program, which is ranked number one in the nation by the Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index.

Abby earned her counseling license in 2007 through the Counselor, Social Worker, and Family and Marriage Therapist Board of Ohio. She uses a blend of evidence-based theoretical orientations in tailoring therapy services for the children and adults she serves at the Center for Psychology.

Mark Nodo, M.Ed., LPCC

Mark Nodo is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, who graduated from Kent State University earning a Master’s of Education degree in Community Counseling in 2007.

Mark earned his initial license as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2007 from the State of Ohio - Counselor, Social Worker, and Family and Marriage Therapist Board.  In 2012 Mark attained his Clinical License (LPCC) from the State of Ohio- Counselor, Social Worker, and Family and Marriage Therapy Board.

Mark has had extensive training Family Systems and exploration of Spiritual awareness related to wellness of Body, Mind and Spirit. Mark has broad familiarity with clients experiencing anxiety, grief, and life-events.  Mark works primarily with adults and couples.

Jesse Stroud, MSW, LSW

Jesse F. Stroud is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board and graduated with his Masters of Social Worker degree from The Ohio State University.

During his time at The Ohio State University, his primary focus of study was mental health and substance use/misuse which included training in trauma and crisis intervention, grief and loss, depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, along with training in stress management, meditation, and mind-body-spirit integration. His qualifications also include diagnosis and assessment, treatment planning, therapy for individuals, couples, children and adolescents, and groups, as well as ethical and cultural considerations in counseling.

Jesse’s approach to treatment is that healing is manifested through empathy, genuineness, and acceptance combined with evidence-based-practice modalities that honor the self- determination and dignity of the client.

Karen Struble, Office Manager

Karen Struble has been with the Center for Psychology since 1995. She is responsible for scheduling of appointments, insurance reimbursement, fee collection, and record keeping.

Karen is the one person who will be able to answer all of your questions regarding the functioning of the Center. Please do not hesitate to ask her if you have any questions at all. She is known for her consistently pleasant mood and her ability to set anyone at ease.
